Korine
Korine was one of my main projects at university. Korine is a 2.5D Zelda-like fantasy action-adventure game in which the player collects quirky hats with mystical powers to overcome the challenges of an ancient alien ruin full of enemies, traps, and puzzles.
My role in the team was to be the art director. I had to create concept art, character sheets, and style guides to keep the overall art style cohesive, as well as help to create the color palette and desired atmosphere. In terms of the assets you see in game, my focus was on creating characters, creatures, their respective Spine animations, and decals for the environment. As well as creating some of the different machinery/decorations.
Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Spine 2D Pro.
The entirety of the game was created in Unity.

Korine was nominated for the Ubisoft Newcomer Award (German Developer Award) in 2021 as well as the Best of Showcase Award (Hamburg Games Conference) in 2021.
